Parks & Recreation

Life is serious enough.  The City of Bristol, Tennessee’s Parks & Recreation Department is here to help you and your family have fun and relax.  Enjoy the day picnicking, hiking, biking or riding the train and paddle boats at Steele Creek Park.  Sports more your speed?  We have 4 softball/baseball fields and 4 soccer fields at Whitetop Creek Park multisport complex.  If golf is more your bag, we have one of the area’s most scenic 9 hole courses.  Maybe you are a disc golfer, we have a course voted one of the best in the state of Tennessee.

Looking for recreational activities?  For athletics our departments organizes NFL Flag Football, Basketball, Girls Softball and NJTL Tennis all for the kids.  For adults we offer everything from softball to evening classes featuring yoga, fitness, and we’re always looking for something new.

The Nature Center at Steele Creek Park is the place to find exhibits and activities featuring everything from nature photography to hikes, programs and fireside chats on the natural aspects of the park.

Our Senior Program staff organizes activities for adults ages 50 and above including exercise classes, line dancing, water color or oil and acrylic painting classes, trips, and more.

The City of Bristol, Tennessee has 26 parks where you can enjoy everything from picnicking to playing ball to swimming to letting your dog play.  Shelters are available to rent at Steele Creek Park as well as Whitetop, Rooster Front and Charlie Robinette Parks.  Book your next family outing with us.
