If it swims in fresh water, it can be caught here.  Out lakes and streams provide some of the best fishing found anywhere in the southeast.  You will find largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, striped bass, walleye, catfish, as well as other warm water species.  High mountain streams to reservoirs provide fishing for brook, brown and rainbow trout.

Our mountains and valleys provide habitat for ruffed grouse, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, wild turkeys, deer and bear.
