Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation consists of Recreation Programs, Athletic Programs, Senior Programs, and Parks 
and Facilities.  Our administrative offices are located in the Slater Community Center
at 325 McDowell Street.

Athletic Program staff organizes youth basketball, cheerleading and youth and adult softball.  Athletic staff also organizes the annual State Line Classic Softball Tournament.

Nature Center staff at Steele Creek Park manages the Nature Center as well as organizes activities
and week long day camps for youth.  The staff also have several different wildlife activities throughout 
the year.

Parks and Facilities staff is responsible for the maintenance of the parks as well as city owned
buildings and properties.

The City of Bristol Tennessee has a total of 24 parks for our citizens and visitors to enjoy. Shelters are available for rent at Steele Creek, Whitetop Creek, Rooster Front, and Charlie Robinette Parks.  Our first dog park is now open!  Our Bark Park is located at 1111 Vance Drive and is anxiously awaiting your visit!

Recreation Program staff organizes evening classes as well as Summer Youth Activities and special events.

Senior Program staff organizes activities for adults ages 50 and above.  Senior activities include 
exercise classes, line dancing, yoga, book reviews, etc.  They also coordinate several health

We also have staff that manages the Haynesfield Pool and Steele Creek Golf Course.
