Tree City Board 

A seven-member (7) board appointed by City Council for four-year (4) terms.  Chapter 78, Article II, Division 2 of the Code of Ordinances establishes the board and its duties.  Meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 5:00 PM at the Slater Center.  All members re required to be city residents at time of appointment and maintain city residency during the entire term of office. 

 

 

This board is responsible for maintaining the city's "Tree City" designation, initiation of city beautification projects, and enhancement of community aesthetic support. 

 

 

The Parks and Recreation Department acts as a liaison and support staff for this board.
