The Sounds of Summer was originally born from a collection of local musicians who regularly gathered to pick and jam together in downtown Bristol in front of the famed country music mural. Recently, a number of these music legends sat down with BTN-TV to tell the story of how this tradition began. This short documentary, titled “Sounds of Summer: A Bristol Music Tradition,” may be viewed below.
Summer nights are made for music, and the Sounds of Summer Concert Series has become a beloved summertime tradition in Bristol. Enjoy a free concert every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Downtown Center located at 810 State Street—bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the sounds of summer music.
