The Bristol Tennessee Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, ambulance transport, tactical rescue, and hazardous materials response to a community of more than 27,000 residents. Our highly trained, professional team responds to more than 5,000 calls per year from five stations strategically located throughout the City of Bristol.

Qualifications & Assistance

A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required. Applicants must obtain the Tennessee State Firefighters Minimum Standard Certificate or Certificate of Compliance, and a valid Tennessee Department of Health certification as Emergency Medical Technician/CPR Certification within one year.
