Welcome to the Steele Creek Park Nature Center! 
The Steele Creek Park Nature Center is a 2 story, 8,000 square foot educational facility which showcases the natural history and beauty of the Southern Appalachians! Inside you will find live animals and educational displays about the natural world inside Steele Creek Park.

Offers

We offer guided hikes and educational public programs year-round.

We also offer specialized programming to non-profit groups (schools, churches, scouts, home-school co-ops, etc.) free of charge! We can create or enhance almost any science curriculum for your group! Located around the Center is also a wildflower garden and bird viewing area.

Admission to the Nature Center is free with park admission.

The Nature Center hours are:

In-Season (Memorial Day through Labor Day):

Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday 1 to 6 p.m.

Off-Season (Labor Day through Memorial Day):

Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.
