The accounting function is comprised of:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • External financial reporting
  • General ledger maintenance

The City currently has 20 funds that are under the control of the department. Staff manages the following funds:

  • 2 agency funds
  • 3 capital projects funds
  • 3 proprietary funds
  • 9 special revenue funds
  • Debt Service Fund
  • General Fund
  • Internal service fund
  • Trust fund

As part of the financial reporting function, staff prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report at the close of every fiscal year.
