[ARCHIVED] Water line upgrade scheduled for Stonecroft Road area

City crews will soon begin upgrading the existing water lines along Stonecroft Road area of the city.

The project is anticipated to conclude by the end of November 2015, weather permitting.

City crews will make every effort to minimize inconveniences during the construction period and will restore all disturbed areas to their original condition. In the interest of safety, please avoid entering the construction area, be alert for moving heavy equipment, and discourage children from playing in these areas.

Traffic disruptions, including temporary road closures, may be required during the project. Accommodations will always be made to allow access to property within the construction zone.

Please note the project will involve installation of the new water line across Weaver Pike. The work in this area will be occurring during evening hours in order to be the least disruptive to heavy traffic flows that occur in this area daily and should be completed in one day. Please be cautious in this area and watch for the City crews who will be flagging traffic in the work zone. Please also note that Stine Street will be closed from Weaver Pike to Brewer Road while the City crews are working in Weaver Pike.

Should you have questions or concerns during the construction period, please contact Jacob Chandler at 423-989-5585 or email [email protected]
