[ARCHIVED] 05-24-16 City conducts community survey as final step in branding process

The City of Bristol, Tennessee continues to take steps to find a brand that fits the City and describes to others what Bristol is about, who we are as a community, and the direction in which we are headed. In that effort, a survey has been created to gain additional feedback from the community at large.

“The survey asks some very pertinent questions that will be used in the final phase of community branding,” said Terrie Talbert, Community Relations Director. “The survey should take only a few minutes to complete. We encourage everyone to be detailed in their answers. We want to know how our citizens think, feel, and talk about ourselves as a community.” The survey can be accessed through the City’s website and Facebook page, or directly at either https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D2CY78M or https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D2Q57ZY. Paper copies of the survey are available at the Slater Center on McDowell Street and in the lobby of City Hall located at 801 Anderson Street.

In recent weeks, a team from Cubic, Inc., the company hired by the City to create a City brand, met with several members of the community, conducting face-to-face interviews with individuals representing the many different sectors that make up the city. The group also toured many of Bristol’s notable points of interest and hosted several focus groups over the course of three days to garner feedback.
“The city has been working on this process for some time now. It is important to remain competitive, and part of that is branding ourselves with a unified, consistent identity that says ‘this is who we are’. We should be able to easily translate that into something we can tell others about, whether it be visitors, potential new residents, or businesses looking to relocate,” Talbert continued.

For more information on the branding process contact Terrie Talbert, Director of Community Relations at 423-989-5500 Ext. 2055 or [email protected]
