[ARCHIVED] 09/30/16 Sewer lines to be relocated along 9th Street

City crews will be relocating the sanitary sewer and the storm sewer lines along 9th Street between Windsor Avenue and Anderson Street beginning October 10, 2016. The project is anticipated to conclude by the end of November 2016, weather permitting.

During the construction, 9th Street will be closed from Windsor Avenue to Anderson Street. Access to the alley between 10th Street and 9th Street will be available from 10th Street. Also, the Mark Vance Memorial Greenway between 10th Street and 9th Street will be temporarily rerouted along 10th Street and Anderson Street.

City crews will make every effort to minimize inconveniences during the construction period. In the interest of safety, please avoid entering the construction area, be alert for moving heavy equipment, and discourage children from playing in these areas.

Traffic disruptions, including temporary road closures, may be required during the project. However, accommodations will always be made to allow access to property within the construction zone.

Should there be any questions or concerns during the construction period, please contact Jacob Chandler at 423-989-5585 or email [email protected]
