[ARCHIVED] 02/10/2017 100K Tree Day makes free trees available for residents of Bristol Tennessee

The City of Bristol Tennessee, in conjunction with the Tennessee Environmental Council, is holding the 100K Tree Day.  Trees will be given out for the annual planting event hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department. The Council provides bare-root seedlings at no cost to participants who agree to pick up the tress on Friday, February 24 at Steele Creek Park  Golf Course, located at 10 Little Lane.  The trees are to be planted on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

To register go to the city’s website www.bristoltn.org, and click on the associated scroll on the home page.  Each tree package contains an equal number of  Eastern Red Bud, Red Oak, Virginia Pine, American Plum and Yellow (Tulip) Poplar.
