[ARCHIVED] 02/10/2017 City Parks and Recreation Department now accepting credit cards

The City of Bristol Tennessee’s Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting credit cards for most classes, activities, rentals, golf, etc.  In preparation for an exciting spring and summer season with new programs, shelters, new activities and fresh events, Parks and Recreation Director Terry Napier saw credit card acceptance a must. “There is not much today that you can’t do on-line with a credit card.  For busy families who cannot get to our offices to make payment, credit cards seemed to be the most sensible and simple solution.”  Napier continued, “We have been accepting credit cards at our golf course for the past ten years without any issues.  More than 75% of all rounds of golf played on the course have been paid by credit cards, which is proof that the demand is there.”

Customers can now go on-line at www.bristoltn.org  to the Parks and Recreation Department’s web page, reserve a shelter, and pay the rental fee all at the same time.  The same applies for any Parks and Recreation class or children’s program.  “We strongly believe this will help our program participation numbers grow,” said Napier.  The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will accept Master Card, Visa and Discover.

The City will soon begin accepting major credit cards in other areas of operation.
