Just after midnight on the morning of February 28th, a line break was reported that affected water customers along Carolina Avenue between Hazelwood Street and Valley Pike Road, including some surrounding neighborhoods. Bristol, Tennessee Public Works crews have been working on site since the break was reported. The break occurred in a 20-inch water line, the large size of which makes a repair of this nature more complex and time consuming.
Officials anticipate that the lines will be re-pressurized and water service restored to the affected area by approximately 7:00 p.m. barring any unforeseen complications.
