[ARCHIVED] 05/04/17 Steele Creek Park clean-up day planned

It is estimated that over 100,000 people visit Steele Creek Park each year, enjoying its natural beauty and the many other amenities the park has to offer. In celebration of Earth Day, Steele Creek Park will enjoy a little TLC with volunteers from throughout the community performing clean-up duties. On Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9am until noon individuals who wish to participate will gather at the Nature Center to pick up supplies and instructions. Keep Bristol Beautiful is providing gloves and bags. Also, Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park will provide beverages and snacks to all volunteers.

Steele Creek Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the State of Tennessee with over 2,200 acres, a 52 acre lake, a 9-hole golf course, and a disc golf course.  There are playgrounds for the kids, a newly expanded Nature Center, miniature train rides, and paddle boats.
