Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park and the Bristol Tennessee Parks and Recreation Department invite the public to see, first hand, the progress being made on the expansion of the Nature Center at Steele Creek Park.
An open house “sneak preview” will be held on Friday, June 30, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. During this time, the newly expanded portion of the Nature Center will be open to those wishing to get a glimpse of what the facility will look like once it officially opens. Although none of the exhibits will be complete, the new aquarium structure will be in place, and graphics will demonstrate all of the other exhibits that eventually will fill the Nature Center.
Nature Center staff and Friends of Steele Creek volunteers will be on hand to show visitors around and to answer questions about the project. The official opening is scheduled for Wildlife Weekend at the Park, October 13th and 14th.
