In preparation for the upcoming Bristol Hiring Expo, the City of Bristol, Tennessee in partnership with the Bristol Public Library and the Northeast Tennessee Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will be hosting a Job Prep Clinic. This event is designed to help area job-seekers hone their skills to be as successful as possible in their search for employment.
“In today’s competitive job market, it has never been more important to make sure that you stand out in the minds of potential employers for all the right reasons,” said Mary Lee Williams, Director of Administration for the City of Bristol, Tennessee and President of the Northeast Tennessee Chapter of SHRM. “The Job Prep Clinic will be a tremendous opportunity for individuals seeking employment to solidify these fundamental skills before next week’s Hiring Expo,” she added.
Topics to be covered during the clinic include résumé preparation, interview skills, and professional attire. The Job Prep Clinic will take place on Thursday, September 14th at 2:00 PM in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room upstairs at the Bristol Public Library. The event is free to attend and no registration is required.
Clinic participants will be able to put their newly acquired skills to use at the Bristol Hiring Expo on Thursday, September 21st from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Bristol Motor Speedway South Building.
