[ARCHIVED] 11/17/17 City offices closed in observance of Thanksgiving holiday

The City of Bristol, Tennessee offices and other non-emergency services will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 23 and on Friday, November 24, 2017 allowing city employees time with their families.

Police and fire/rescue services for life-threatening or in-progress emergencies may be reached by call 9-1-1.  Non-emergency problems or concerns may be directed to 423-989-5600. 

Residents are asked to take note of the following changes in other city services and programs:

The Public Works Department will be closed on Thursday, November 23. Refuse collection normally scheduled for Thursdays will be collected on Wednesday, November 22.  Refuse collection will resume on a normal schedule on Friday, November 24.

City bus transit will not run on Thanksgiving Day, November 23 or Friday, November 24.   Bristol Tennessee Para-Transit will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24. The Job Access program will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but will resume a regular operating schedule on Friday and Saturday, November 24 and 25, 2017.

Bristol Parks and Recreation Administrative offices and Slater Center will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.  All parks will be open during normal operating hours.  For more information on the Parks and Recreation schedule please call 423-764-4023.

All services will resume their regular schedule on Monday, November 27, 2017.
