[ARCHIVED] 03-23-18 Arrests made in Wal-Mart shooting

On March 21, 2018, a Sullivan County Grand Jury indicted Ashley and Michael Strouth for the September 1, 2017, murder of Michael Heatherly, 43, in the Walmart parking lot in Bristol, Tennessee.  Ashely Strouth, was previously married to the decedent. Michael Strouth is her current husband.   

Michael Strouth, 37, and Ashley Strouth, 34, Strouth are being charged with 1st Degree Murder and Conspiracy. Their bond has been set at $125,000 for each. 

There is still a $5,000 reward available from the Tennessee Governor’s Office for information leading to the conviction of Ashely or Michael Strouth. Anyone having bought a firearm from or sold a firearm to either of the Strouths or have any other information about the case is encouraged to contact Detective Justin Bush of the Bristol Tennessee Police Department at 423-989-5530 or [email protected].
