On 3/27/2018, at 10:41 am, officers from the Bristol Tennessee Police Department responded to the Walgreens Pharmacy on Highway 394 to the report of a robbery. The witnesses stated that a white male entered the store and walked back to the pharmacy counter. The suspect presented a note to the clerk and demanded various types of narcotics. The clerk complied with his demands, and the suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of pills.
The store was quickly cleared, and detectives from the Bristol Tennessee Police Department began processing the crime scene. During the investigation officers identified the suspect as Tyler McNeil, 26, of Blountville, TN. Officers from the Bristol Tennessee Police Department and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to McNeil’s residence on Highway 126 in Sullivan County where he was taken into custody a short time later. The cooperation between the two agencies quickly led to McNeil’s arrest.
McNeil is being charged with Robbery, Driving Revoked, and Possession w/ Intent to Distribute Drugs. McNeil was transported to the Sullivan County Jail for booking.
