[ARCHIVED] 04/06/18 Traffic stop leads to the seizure of methamphetamine and firearms

On April 6, 2018, officers were called to Walmart, 220 Century Boulevard, for a suspicious vehicle with no registration plate. As officers arrived, the vehicle was leaving the parking lot. A traffic stop was conducted on Volunteer Parkway, just north of Century Boulevard. While conducting their investigation, officers discovered over 11 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 3 firearms, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia.    

 The driver, Katheryn Meyer, 26, of Rogersville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to resale.  The passenger, Rebecca Salts, 33, of Church Hill, was taken into custody on 2 active arrest warrants for probation violation and was additionally charged with simple possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  The investigation is on-going and additional charges are pending.
