[ARCHIVED] 04/19/18 City Manager announces interim Planning Department positions

City Manager Bill Sorah has named Tim Beavers as Interim Planning and Community Development Director effective with the May 4th departure of current Director Brian Rose. Beavers has served as Director of Public Works for the past 4 years. Prior to that role he served as the City Engineer working closely with the City’s Planning and Community Development Department.  Beavers has been with the city for approximately 27 years.

Ross Peters, has been named the Interim Zoning Administrator.  He will oversee site plan review and zoning activities in the Planning and Community Development Department.  Peters has served in the City’s Division of Engineering Services for the past 15 years.

Jacob Chandler has been named as Interim Public Works Director. Chandler will oversee daily operations in Beavers absence. Chandler currently serves as the City Engineer and has been with the City for 4 years.

“These individuals have demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills in their roles.  We are fortunate to have talented personnel who can, with ease, step into these interim positions as we begin the process of filling the roles permanently,” said Mr. Sorah.
