At approximately 8:30 am on Wednesday, April 25th, the Bristol Tennessee Police Department received a report of a person being injured by a bullet that had entered their downstairs apartment from the apartment above. The victim was able to call 911 and officers responded to investigate the call and located a female victim who had a gunshot injury to her jaw.
The initial investigation has revealed a gun had been shot in the upstairs apartment, traveled through the floor and ceiling, striking the victim in the face. The victim is currently at the Bristol Regional Medical Center being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Further updates will be made available as soon as there is more information to be released, however the police do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time.
