The City of Bristol, Tennessee is requesting input from the public that will allow it to look at future needs and evaluate current operation of the area’s transportation network. The survey is available at bristoltn.org and will appear in a pop-up box on the home page.
Current transit users, Human Resource Directors, large companies’ employees, students, and the community are being asked to give their opinions. The surveys will be open for 45 days, at which time the Community Relations Department will formulate the data and forward the information to the Public Works Department, which oversees the city’s transit system, and the City Manager for review.
Each survey will address different issues. Transit users will be asked about current routes, quality, pricing, etc. The community will be asked about what would encourage them to take public transportation over private vehicles and why they may prefer private modes of transportation over public. Human Resource Directors and their employees will be asked about their needs in a workplace scenario.
City staff will be riding city vans and busses, which make up the city’s transit network, assisting riders in completing the survey.
Each survey takes less than five minutes to complete.
