[ARCHIVED] 08/24/18 Doggie pool party set for Haynesfield Pool

It is that time of year again. The dog days of summer are here. Most pools, in general, close to the public after Labor Day. That means swim time is running out for us, but not for our furry friends.  Before the pool is drained for the season, Bristol, Tennessee Parks and Recreation always remembers their doggie pals. The department will be hosting its 9th Annual Doggie Swim at Haynesfield Pool where the dogs will take over from September 4-8, 2018. With hours for Tuesday through Friday being, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and on Saturday, from noon until 4:00 pm.

Admission is $3.00 per doggie, with a limit of two dogs per person. Admission for people is free.

There are some rules for safety and peace keeping purposes. All dogs must be current on their vaccinations and must wear a current rabies tag and owner identification tag.  Unneutered male dogs, female dogs in heat, and puppies under six months of age are prohibited. Choke, prong (pinch), and spike collars are prohibited, a regular collar must be worn at all times. Dogs must be under the control of their person and in view of them at all times. The doggie’s person must be 16 years of age or older.
