The City of Bristol Tennessee is hosting the 2018 Training and Listening Sessions which will include a Contractor/Developer Training Seminar and a Developer/Contractor Information/Listening Session. The Training Seminar will begin at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Ewell Easley Annex Conference Room located at 104 8th Street, Bristol, Tennessee followed by the Information/Listening Session beginning at 12:00 pm. The Training Seminar will focus on the new up-graded File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Site and Project Information Submission Guidelines. The Information/Listening Session will provide information on the City’s and BTES’ Residential Development Incentives/Agreements and will be an opportunity for the City to receive feedback regarding the development process.
Lunch will be served and City officials and the Development Services team will be present to hear suggestions, answer questions, listen to concerns, and hear other thoughts regarding the development process. “Our purpose is to listen to our community contractors and developers. These individuals help guide the growth of the City. It is important to know what is working well for them and discuss opportunities to improve City services and streamline the development process” said Tim Beavers, Director of Development Services.
The Department of Development Services oversees Planning, Codes Enforcement and Building Inspections, Utilities, Engineering, Public Services, and other operational areas of the City.
