[ARCHIVED] 06-06-2019 Thinking warm thoughts? Summer Nature Camp registration begins

Registration for 2019 summer camps offered by the Nature Center at Steele Creek Park (Bristol, TN Parks and Recreation Department) has begun. Do you want to learn about rocks and minerals, nature photography, the Scientific Method, ecology, or bushcraft and woodslore? Look no further: Steele Creek Nature Center has a camp for you.

Beginning June 3rd at 8:30 the camps begin with Herpetology Camp. In this camp, kids will be introduced to the exciting world of Herpetology (the study of amphibians & reptiles). Frogs, toads, snakes, salamanders, turtles, and lizards will be searched for throughout Steele Creek Park.  The Steele Creek Nature Camp Program contains a variety of camps available to youth ages 7-12.

All camps operate from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm Monday – Friday. Space is limited. The registration fee is $60.00 ($50 if paid before May 24th), which includes a t-shirt and all materials for the camp. Partial camp scholarships are available upon need-based request. Register and pay online at bristoltn.recdesk.com.
