[ARCHIVED] 3-22-19 City welcomes country artist Billy Dean to Paramount Bristol

The City of Bristol, Tennessee, in cooperation with Paramount Bristol, is excited to welcome country artist Billy Dean to the Paramount Bristol on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. 

Over a career lasting more than 25 years, Dean’s voice is one of the most recognized from the mid-’90s. With songs like “Only Here for a Little While” and “Billy the Kid,” this concert is one that country music fans will not want to miss. 

Dean has released 11 albums and has been recognized with multiple awards and nominations. He was nominated for a Grammy for Song of the Year with the song “Somewhere in my Broken Heart” as well as Top New Male Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards. He won a Grammy for “Amazing Grace, A Country Tribute to Gospel” which features artists like Martina McBride, Alison Kraus, and the Charlie Daniels Band. Dean has toured with some of country music’s biggest names including  Kenny Rogers, The Judds, and Alan Jackson. 

“We are excited to welcome Billy Dean to Bristol,” said Angie Rutherford, Recreation Programmer for Bristol Tennessee Parks and Recreation. “His music is certainly one that most in our area know. He is a legend in his own right; it felt natural to bring his talents to Bristol”.  

Special guests for the night include country artists, Andy Griggs and Jim Brown.
