[ARCHIVED] Public meeting set for Maryland Avenue sidewalk project

A public meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, to review plans for news sidewalks along Maryland Avenue in Bristol, Tennessee and provide information about this grant-funded project.

Officials from the City’s Engineering Division will begin the meeting with a brief presentation at Fairmount Elementary School Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Drawings of the project will be available for the public to view. Those attending should use the entrance facing Virginia Avenue.

The project includes approximately 1,000 feet of new sidewalk along the east side of Maryland Avenue between Maple Street and East Cedar Street near Fairmount School. It is the final phase of a Federal Safe Routes to School Program administered by the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
