[ARCHIVED] City of Bristol, Tenn. accepting applications for entry-level police

The Bristol Tennessee Police Department is currently accepting applications for entry-level positions and offering incentive bonuses for those who qualify.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, Dec. 23. The entry level written and physical abilities tests for police officers will be given on Saturday, Jan.15, 2022. Applicants will be ranked based on official tests scores, prior experience, and performance during departmental interviews. Training will be provided for new hires.  POST certified police officers may be eligible to receive a bonus incentive of up to $2,000. 

BTPD is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and Tennessee Law Enforcement Accreditation (TLEA). The department provides a wide array of specialized services within its Patrol, K9, School Resource Officer, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Criminal Investigations, SWAT, and Crisis Negotiation divisions.
