Bride fit web

An eight-week exercise class designed by the Bristol Tennessee Department of Parks & Recreation to get the bride-to-be and her bridal party in shape before the wedding is being offered on Saturday mornings in the gym at Slater Community Center.

Bride Fit classes will begin Feb. 12 from 9 to 10 a.m. and will be taught by Program Specialist Becky Olinger, a long-time fitness instructor. The class will consist of both cardio and strength training using a pyramid method, Olinger said, explaining that the number of repetitions or the amount of weight used will vary with each set of exercises. The class is specifically designed for brides or anyone preparing for a special occasion, but is also open to anyone 16 or over who simply wants to get sculpted and toned.

The cost of the class is $20 and registration is underway now at bristoltn.recdesk.com. For additional information, please contact Olinger at (423) 764-4006 or [email protected]
