Registration is now underway for a series of spring tennis programs sponsored by the Bristol Tennessee Department of Parks & Recreation and designed for both novice players and those interested in improving their game.
Intro to Tennis, for those 16 and up who are new to the sport, will be held each Monday evening in April from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This class will focus on the rules of the game, the equipment involved, and basic play. Racquets will be available for use during the session. The cost is $40 for all four sessions. Adult Clinics will be held on the third Thursday of every month, beginning April 21, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This clinic will focus on match play and strokes, and the cost is $15 per person for each clinic attended. Junior Clinics, designed for those between the ages of 10 and 14, will be held on the third Saturday of every month, beginning April 23, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. The cost is $15 per person for each clinic attended.
All sessions will be taught by King University Tennis Coach Rodger Acklin at the Ida Stone Jones Community Tennis Center, located at 700 Alabama Street. Please register at bristoltn.recdesk.com.
