[ARCHIVED] Bristol Tennessee Police Department respond to a hit and run

On 09/22/2022, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers with the Bristol Tennessee Police Department responded to a hit and run involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Volunteer Parkway and Old Thomas Bridge Road.  According to witnesses, a vehicle traveling northbound struck the pedestrian as she was crossing the Volunteer Parkway.  The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center.  The driver of the vehicle did stop, but then fled northbound and turned onto Exide Drive as the first responding officer arrived and was assessing the victim’s injuries.  

 The suspect’s vehicle is possibly a mid-1990s to early 2000s red Ford Ranger with damage to the front bumper, headlight, and driver’s side mirror.
